Half-Life 2: Episode One was continuation for the awesome core experience that was Half-Life 2. The gameplay is of course very similar and the plot feels like a part of the bigger picture. Everything is just excellent as it was before but this time I felt a bit more detached from the narrative. There were a lot of things that I didn’t really understand and it all felt more like bouncing around than doing something with a purpose. Also Episode One was really short compared to Half-Life 2, which is understandable, but still disappointed me at the time. It didn’t really feel like anything was achieved in this part. It was still a damn fun experience in the good old Half-Life 2 universe.
